Introducing Taan Mind: a personal project for smarter documents
A few weeks ago I started building Taan Mind. The question was simple: what if my documents were easier to search, understand, and talk to?
There is a first public version now. Still rough in places, but the foundation is clear. Connect documents, AI, and real workflows without adding complexity you do not need.
What Taan Mind is trying to solve
Taan Mind is an AI companion for Paperless-ngx. It does not replace Paperless. It adds a conversational layer on top: document-aware chat, automatic OCR workflows, AI-assisted metadata suggestions, smarter document operations, and a small KPI dashboard to see what actually lives in your archive.
Under the hood: Nuxt 4, Nuxt UI, AI SDK, Drizzle, SQLite/NuxtHub, Ollama, and MuPDF. Some parts already feel good. Others need more time. That is fine. This is a personal project, built incrementally, driven by curiosity and practical needs rather than a product roadmap.
If you work with documents, self-hosted tools, local AI, or just enjoy watching small ideas turn into something usable, I hope this is useful. Feedback, issues, and stars are welcome.

What comes next
This is a first version, not a finished product. I plan to keep improving it steadily, guided by feedback and real problems rather than feature lists.
